As an amateur traditional artist it’s hard to get the momentum given the time it takes to complete artwork when you compare it to the quantity of work that a photographer or even a digital artist can produce. Given that I think 5,000 hits is quite an achievement.

One of my goals over the next year is to increase my output and quality of my work. As I have been teaching myself to oil paint over the last 4 years I have noticed that what once took me weeks to get right I can now do much more quickly, benefit of practice I guess. This also allows me to work on larger canvas as well. One very small downside is I am rapidly running out of wall space and room for my artworks. I am too attached to them to sell but I suppose that will change with time. I donated one of my early watercolour paintings to a charity auction, which was hard enough.
